<p>PURPOSE:To accurately detect an intake air flow with responsiveness enhanced by detecting a lowering rate during the period of time until a detecting element has come up to a specified temperature since an engine was started, selecting a correction value based on the aforesaid lowering rate, and thereby operating delay in response so as to correct it. CONSTITUTION:A main routine for an intake air flow detecting means and a correction value processing program are housed in the memory circuit 28 of a control unit 25. As soon as an engine is started, voltage is applied to a detecting element as a preparation for detection by a thermal type flow meter 1, and the element is heated up to a specified temperature, just after the engine is started, the detected voltage from the flow meter 1 momentarily becomes high temporarily, but after that, it is gradually lowered so as to be stabilized as the detecting element becomes high in temeperature. In this case, a voltage lowering rate is operated, a correction value applicable to the aforesaid operated value is read out of a characteristic map, and the following process is returned to the operation correction process of the main routine. By this constitution, delay in response is reduced by a set correction value, so that output voltage with no scatter can thereby be outputted.</p> |
