<p>PURPOSE:To simplify connection, to reduce a cost, and to save power consumption without using any light emitting element array as a light source part and any light intercepting element array as a light intercepting part. CONSTITUTION:A light source part 1 in an emission optical system A merely consists of several integrated light emitting elements. In a light introducing part 2 connected to the light source part 1, a curved Fresnel mirror 5a is formed on its bottom face so that parallel light flux is emitted toward a detecting area. A variable transmittance filter 30 gradually varying its thickness, which varies light intensity distribution continuously or gradually along the longitudinal direction of the detecting area, is connected to an emitting face of the light introducing part 2. A light scattering part, 3 in an incidence optical system B mixes a scattering agent with a light transmitting resin so that the reflected light from a matter to be detected (m) is scattered uniformly and is led to a light intercepting part 4. The light intercepting part 4 can be served by a single light intercepting element having no identifiability in the longitudinal direction of the detecting area.</p> |
