A heating device intended in particular for heating the fuel to be injected into a combustion engine comprises a heat sink (1), at least one PTC (positive temperature coefficient) thermistor (3) kept in heat transmission contact with the heat sink, a contact plate (4) being in conducting contact with the PTC thermistor, electrical connection means (5), a cover (6) consisting of a synthetic non-conducting material, and at least one spring (7) pressing on the cover in order to push the contact plate (4) back onto the PTC thermistor (3). In order to allow quick, inexpensive, and not very critical fitting, and to increase the longevity, the PTC thermistor (3) floats freely in a thermally conducting paste (11) and is not connected to the heat sink by a conducting epoxy layer or some other layer of glue, whilst at the front, the contact plate (4) is fixed directly to an electrical connection rod (5) which passes through the cover (6) essentially at its centre. The thrust spring (7) fits directly onto the contact plate (4). <IMAGE>
