PURPOSE:To attach a toner adhesive amount measuring means to a position other than a proximate position opposed to a photoreceptor by providing a reflecting member for reflecting light between a light source and an image carrier or between the image carrier and a photodetector means. CONSTITUTION:Between the toner adhesive amount measuring instrument 8 and the photoreceptor drum 1, a common reflector 89 for causing the exiting light from the instrument 8 to be turned to the drum 1 and the exiting light from the drum 1 to go toward the instrument 8 is disposed in the optical paths of the drum 1 and the instrument 8. Therefore, the instrument 8 can be arranged at the position other than the position opposed to the drum 1. In such a case, by dividing the reflector to the reflector 89a for exiting light from the instrument 8 and the reflector 89b for reflected light from the drum 1, the light source 81 of the instrument 8 and a photoelectric conversion part need not be housed in one housing, and the light source 81 and the photoelectric conversion part 82 are freely attached. |
