<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the contact between a tape and a head and to prevent both from damaging by making the tape float from only the head part opposite to the tape when a magnetic conversion by the magnetic head is not effected. CONSTITUTION:By receiving a stop signal for writing or reading an information, a valve 23 of a fluid supply device 20 is controlled with a fluid control means to the position introducing the fluid from a pump to the magnetic head. By this procedure, the fluid from the pump 21 is guided to the head through the fluid passage in a cylinder and of a rotor introducing it to only the magnetic head located on the part of winding angle of the magnetic tape 3 wound to the cylinder 9, then the fluid is jetted against the tape 3 from the circumference of the head. Consequently, the tape is easily floated against the head located on the part where the tape 3 is wound on the cylinder 9, by a static pressure bearing effect due to a fluid force.</p> |
