<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a radar which can obtain accurate target information even when the radar is interrupted in one plane of polarization, is hardly detected by other receivers, etc., and can obtain excellent distance resolution. CONSTITUTION:The radar can perform transmission and reception while performing phase modulation/demodulation by connecting first and second antennas 1a and 1b having planes of polarization intersecting each other at right angles and switching the planes of polarization by switching first and second switching elements 2a and 2b to each other by means of a driver circuit 10, and then, connecting such first and second cables 5a and 5b that the phases of signals propagated through the cables 5a and 5b are lagged by pi and switching a third switching element 4 by means of the circuit 10. Therefore, this radar can withstand interference, is hardly detected by other receivers, etc., and can obtain excellent distance resolution while the radar has a simple constitution.</p> |
