Pusher-type propeller drive for aircraft, land vehicles or water craft

It is known for interference to be used to influence sound emissions. The invention makes available a pusher-type propeller drive in the case of which the exhaust pipes of the driving piston engine end in front of the propeller so that the sound emission produced by the propeller is influenced. The propeller is positioned on the drive shaft such that the sound emissions influence one another by interference and are in consequence reduced. The ends of the exhaust pipes and the plane of the propeller are sheathed by an annular casing which is constructed such that it has a sound absorbing effect and thus produces a further reduction in the sound absorption. A considerable reduction in the sound emission results from the interaction between interference and absorption.
