An infusion apparatus for the supply of infusion fluid into the living body comprises a pump part enclosed by a housing. In order to create an infusion apparatus which prevents the entry of air in the form of air bubbles into the blood vessels, it is proposed that the pump part be connected to a float housing (1) with a float (2) which provides a seal by means of spring force counter to the lifting force of the infusion fluid when the fluid level drops. <IMAGE>
