PURPOSE:To easily update a data structure, and to improve a working efficiency by preliminarily storing the invariable part of the data structure of a communication file in a ROM, and setting the variable part of the data structure in a RAM so as to be freely updated. CONSTITUTION:In a POS terminal 1, keywords for the division of the communication file or character data for an edition processing or the like are preliminarily and fixedly set in a ROM 25 as the invariable structure data, and a communication definition file described by those invalid structure data is set in a RAM as the variable structure data so as to be freely varied by a keyboard 27. In the POS terminal 1, for example, adjustment data stored in the RAM 26 are edited by the communication definition file formed of the invariable structure data in the ROW 25 and the variable structure data in the RAM 26, and the communication file of an adjustment processing is generated according to the execution of an adjustment task. Therefore, even at the time of changing the data structure of the communication file according to the change of a task configuration, the processing can be executed by updating the variable structure data without updating the invariable structure data. |
