In the machine tool housing (2) is fitted a swarf guide chamber leading to a housing region with two outlets (19.20) in opposite side walls, to which is associated a swarf deflector adjustble between two use positions. In each position the deflector cover one outlet and guides the swarf to the other one. The deflector is formed by a swarf ejector(21), as swarf guide chamber end portion with ejector aperture(22) at one side. The deflector is removable selectively from each housing side through the facing outlet.
