Bucket belt conveyors with buckets running on the inside in the material-feed and material-delivery regions have a profiled drum in the form of a pair of discs as a deflecting device in the region of the material feed. There is the problem of reliably preventing the material stream, which at high belt speeds also runs laterally of the buckets on the profiled feed drum, from flowing out of the bucket conveyor.
