Built-in ceiling luminaire

A built-in ceiling luminaire has a luminaire body which is made from a transparent material, such as for example glass, and is continuous and uniform in terms of material. A receiving space is provided on the end-face side opposite the light exit opening. The receiving space and the lamp holder fittings have approximately the same axial height, the receiving space surrounding the lamp holder fittings with circumferential play. The lamp holder fittings are supported on an annular shoulder which bounds the axial height of the receiving space at the bottom side and encloses a passage opening for the lamp contacts. The latching springs latched to the hollow body of the luminaire body draw a metal web against the opening on the end-face side of the receiving space. In this way, the receiving space is closed by the metal web almost like a lid, as a result of which the lamp holder fittings are fixed without screws in the axial direction as well.
