In a device for consolidating the ground by means of ram elements for sowing operations, the ram elements are arranged laterally next to or optionally above a grain-outlet device, in such a way that the effective surfaces of the ram elements act on the ground unevenness occurring on both sides of the sowing furrows, so that these elevations are pressed down and the soil is pressed into the sowing furrow; the radially outer effective surfaces of the ram elements form an imaginary circumferential circle and are at a sufficiently great distance from one another along the circumferential circle to ensure that adhering soil and organic material cannot form a bridge between two adjacent ram elements; the plane of the effective surfaces of the ram elements lies in the plane of the circumferential circle, and the effective surface strips the ground surface in such a way that the curved effective surface makes a flat imprint of adjustable depth.
