Method for the demand-controlled program-loading of decentralised processor devices in a digital communication system

Starting with a communication system having a central processor device DP and a number of decentralised processor devices BG, into which programs are transmitted from the central processor device DP during a cold start (or hot start), it is proposed that the decentralised processor devices BG, after activation of a reset signal (PRS) relating to them, first read the storage area provided for storage of the control program in their respective local memory and form a signature information. This signature information is compared with a preset signature information stored at the time of a preceding program-loading and it is only when they are not identical, that a load-call message is transmitted to the central processor device DP. This method increases the availability of the communication system since redundant loading, for example after a programmed reset, is avoided. <IMAGE>
