PURPOSE:To realize a connector press fitting device which does not damage a printed board even if a pin of a connector is tilted or bent. CONSTITUTION:A position detector 9 detects that a pressure block 7a is in an insertion reference position. When the detector 11b does not detect a pin tip part 1d, it is regarded that there is misregistration in a connector and a printed board 8 or that a pin is tilted or bent, and press fitting operation is stopped. When the pressure block 7a attains an insertion reference position, the pin tip part 1d comes into contact with the printed board 8; however, the pressure at the time is equal to repulsion force of a compression coil spring CL which is weaker than a pushing down force of a press fitting part. Therefore, the printed board 8 is not thereby damaged. |
