An incinerator includes a operable-top furnace body with a combustion chamber and a stack (13) with a lower end part communicating with the combustion chamber. Exhaust port (14) between the stack (13) and the combustion chamber is open during lighting and closed when burning is established. First preheating tube arrangement (60) includes a plurality of upwardly extending concentric coil turns and has a surface formed with a plurality of air holes. Second preheating tube arrangement (50) has at least a portion adjacent to a lower part of the first preheating tube arrangement (60) and has a surface with a plurality of air holes. High pressure air generating unit (70) supplies air to the first (60) and second (50) preheating tube arrangements and to an upper end part of the stack (13).
