<p>PURPOSE:To form a thermochromic film which is free from bleeding and sqeeze- out and is clear in clear in color change by forming a pattern film on the surface of a glass plate with thermochromic ink having specified composition and thereafter calcining it in the high-temp. atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:The surface of thermochronic pigment powder (e.g. Tl2CrO4 powder) is covered with a transparent film having high m.p. of inorganic metallic oxide (e.g. SiO2 film, Al2O3 film). Then thermochromic ink is prepared by mixing a frit-base binder (e.g. SiO2-B2O3-PbO-base binder) with the fine particulate grains and furthermore adding a solvent for regulating viscosity. A pattern film is formed on the surface of a glass plate by using this thermochromic ink. Furthermore the thermochromic film adopted into the door glass of an open toaster is formed by calcining it in the high-temp. atmosphere.</p> |
