<p>PURPOSE:To regenerate a desulfurizing/dust-removing agent using collected dust as a carbon source by supplying the used desulfurizing/dust-removing agent to a regeneration/reduction vessel along with collected dust and supplying oxygen-containing gas to said vessel to recover sulfur from formed SO2. CONSTITUTION:A used desulfurizing/dust-removing agent is supplied to a regeneration/reduction vessel 3 in a state mixed with collected dust. When oxygen-containing gas is supplied to said vessel 3, the desulfurizing/dust- removing agent is regenerated and, at the same time, formed SO2 is immediately reduced by carbon in the dust to directly recover sulfur from the regeneration/ reduction vessel 3. By this method, a regenerator and a reducing vessel can be unified and the simplification and cost reduction of the apparatus can be attained. Further, a carbon source becomes unnecessary from the outside of the system and dust can be incinerated simultaneously.</p> |
