PURPOSE:To easily mold a skin having a deep drawing shape even when a cloth hard to stretch is used as a skin material, by a method wherein the first skin material and the second skin material are divided on both sides of the partition groove formed by the small ridge provided on a mold to be molded into a predetermined shape. CONSTITUTION:A skin material 7 preliminarily molded into a predetermined shape by a mold is set to the molding surface 2a of a mold 2 so that a small ridge 2d is engaged with and inserted in one end 7a thereof and one end 8a of a skin material 8 is further superposed to said end 7a to be pressed and held to the tip of the small ridge 2d by a temporary pressing device 3a while the other end 8b of the skin material 8 is arranged on the tip of the thin wall 4 of a vacuum molding surface 2b to be pressed and held thereto by a temporary press device 3b. Next, when a vacuum pump is operated to suck air through a vacuum pipe 6 and a large number of vacuum holes 5, the skin material 8 is closely contacted with the vacuum molding surface 26 by the sucking action of said pump to be molded into a predetermined shape. |
