PURPOSE:To dispence with the space of side fences with the protruded sides of the frame by erecting side fences, when the bed is in use, at the side of the bed by use of a rotation driving means and by turning it downward again under the bed to be contained, when not in use. CONSTITUTION:Originally, side fences 1 to be contained are contained under the bed 11. When a motor 3 is driven, the driving force is transmitted to a connection shaft 4 to rotate a first gear 5. A second gear 6 is rotated, directing to the side of the bed to move a second supporting arm 8. A first supporting arm 7 is rotated from the lower part of the bed to the side. And then the side fences 1 to be contained are erected at the bed side to serve as the side fences. In this way, the side fences 1 to be contained are erected at the side of the bed when necessary and contained in the lower part of the bed when not necessary. Therefore, it is not necessary to prepare the space of the side fences 1 so that the sides of the frame 2 are protruded from the bed 11 and hence, there is no obstacle to getting on and off the bed. |
