PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance and durability by taking the rail blank stock of a welded crossing as of the high C steel contg. specified C amt. and forming the tread of specified structure with heat treatment after welding the head part of a pair of nose rails. CONSTITUTION:A welded crossing 1 is formed by interposing it by welding after executing a heat treatment by welding a pair of the nose rails 11, 11 having the same sectional shape as an ordinary rail symmetric each other be tween a pair of wing rails 10, 10 back to back. The crossing 1 composes a turnout by being welded so as to have no seam missing line part with an ordi nary rail at its front and rear ends. In this crossing 1, the rails 10, 11 are taken of the high carbon steel contg. 0.70-0.82% C and the head of the nose rails 11, 11 is welded by the co-metal wire of about the same chemical component as of the rail stock or direct with the mutual base metals. The nose rail tread contg. a uniform micropearlite at its head part whole body is formed with heat treatment. |
