<p>PURPOSE:To provide the superior agitating effect to water masses in a deep layer by filling the water of water masses remaining on a surface layer in the vicinity of water level into a closed tank by means of a boosting feed pump, opening an on-off means intermittently and discharging the water into the downward flow by means of the pressure in the tank. CONSTITUTION:An intermittent type water quality improving device 1 is disposed on a lake 14 in the floating state by the buoyancy of a float 9, and first a boosting feed pump 4 is driven in the state of blocking first and second valves 6 and 12, and water of water masses of comparatively high temperature remaining on a surface layer in the vicinity of water level is filled into a closed tank 2 through a suction pipe 7 and a water feed pipe 8, and the pressure inside the tank 2 is retained properly. Then the first on-off valve 6 is opened intermittently at the given time intervals, and the water in the tank 2 is discharged at a time from a jetting port 5 into a downward flow path pipe 3 by the inner- tank pressure (pneumatic pressure). The similar operation is repeated to circulate the water masses in the surface layer to the proper underwater depth successively and remove the water masses by feeding water bloom or the like to the deep layer for the purpose of improving the water quality.</p> |
