PURPOSE:To provide screen gauze for high precision printing which is of high mesh and has a large opening area to give a good ink passage by specifying the single yarn denier, weaving density, opening area, and strength at break of the screen gauze. CONSTITUTION:Plain-woven screen gauze made of core-shell type conjugated monofilaments having a shell component of polyester with a large dissolution speed in an alkaline solvent and a core component of polyester with a dissolution speed smaller than that of the shell component, after being set in a frame, is removed of its shell component with an alkaline solvent in order to obtain the screen gauze for printing. The weaving density is 300 mesh or more, and the opening area after the removal of the shell component is 35%. Moreover, the single yarn denier of the monofilaments after the removal of the shell component is 7 denier or less, and the strength at break is 25kg/5cm. In this way, the screen gauze can be obtained which gives a good ink passage. |
