PURPOSE:To produce an internally chilled body excellent in heat cycle resistance and cast-in properties by internally chilling aluminum titanate ceramic consisting of aluminum titanate, rutile, corundum, mullite and a glass phase with a metal at a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum titanate ceramic in which a crystalline phase is constituted of 50 to 85% aluminum titanate (Al2TiO3), 10 to 30% rutile (TiO2), 0 to 10% corundum (Al2O3) and 2 to 15% mullite (3Al2O3.2SiO2) and a glass phase is regulated to 5% is internally chilled a metal (molten aluminum). In this way, the internally chilled body of the ceramic-metal excellent in heat cycle ductility, furthermore excellent in internally chilled properties and improved in a yield can be obtd. |
