PURPOSE: To provide a liner segment positioning system which is capable of maintaining uniform circumferential spacing between a plurality of liner segments. CONSTITUTION: In a gas turbine engine, the system includes a positioning T-shaped pin 42 retained within a flanged connection, the pin 42 is radially and circumferentially retained by engagement with a slot 44 formed in an outer casing 12, and retained axially by engagement with a cutout 46 formed in the adjacent liner segment 18 so that the liner segment 18 overlaps the positioning pin 42. Each liner segment 18 has the cutout 46, and held in place by the pin 42, which, in turn, is retained within the slot 44 in the compressor casing 12. |
