<p>PURPOSE:To minimize the need for machining such as cutting, boring and the like at a construction site, and thereby enable a staircase handrail to be constructed with ease in a short period of time even without using a skilled hand. CONSTITUTION:In the staircase handrail structure which comprises a handrail body 2 connected to the upper end section of a newel post 1 at its oned end 2a, and also connected to a vertical surface W such as a wall surface and the like at the other end 2b, and also comprises a side board 81 connected to the lower face side of the handrail body 2 at its upper end 3a while its lower end 3b is formed into a staircase S, or also comprises a plurality of small posts 3 connected to the stepping boards S2, the newel post 1 includes a connecting member 10 which connects one end 2a of the handrail body 2 to its upper end section. The connecting member 10 has one end 2a of the handrail body 2 secured in the inside of the connecting member via a horizontal hole formed in the side face of the member, so that the handrail body 2 is linked with the connecting member by means of a hang-locking structure 20 made up of a hanging member and a locking member which are connected with the other end 2b. The lower end of each small post 3 is brought into contact with the side board 81 or an oneway spherical recessed section (s) formed on the upper surface of the stepping board S2.</p> |
