PURPOSE:To open an air bag lid smoothly by fitting an anchor to any one of an instrument panel and an air bag unit, and fitting a hook to be engaged with the anchor to lock the instrument panel with the air bag unit to the other thereof. CONSTITUTION:Power is transmitted to a guide plate 11, a housing bracket 13 and a steering member 5 in order, and a fitting part 25 of a panel main body 17 is supported by the steering member 5 through an anchor 51, a hook 15, the guide plate 11 and the housing bracket 13. Consequently, The instrument panel is never expanded. All of the expanding force of an air bag 7 is therefore transmitted to an air bag lid 31, and the air bag lid 31 is turned around of a point A immediately. The opening operation of the air bag lid 31 is performed smoothly to expand the air bag 7 to an occupant easily. |
