PURPOSE:To provide a two-cycle engine which can accurately control flow of fresh air and exhaust gas, and can prevent blow back of combustion gas and inflow of lubricating oil to a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust port 6b is formed on a cylinder bore 6a, two first scavenging ports 17 are on the exhaust port 6a side and two second scavenging ports 18 are on the opposite side of the exhaust port 6b respectively formed in a cylinder head 4 viewing in the direction of the cylinder axis, scavenging valves 21, 22 opening/closing the respective scavenging ports 17, 18 are provided, and mixture of air and fuel is from the first scavenging ports 17 and air only is from the second scavenging ports 18 respectively supplied into the cylinder bore 6a. |
