PURPOSE:To provide a sealer that seals a packaging bag under application of heat after removing air in the bag rationally, speedily and surely without the burden of operating. CONSTITUTION:A sealer inserts the open side of a packaging bag between a pair of transport belts 2 and seals the opening of the packaging bag under the application of heat, via the transport belts 2, from a heater 4 disposed on the rear of each of the belts. In the sealer, a plurality of through-holes are made in the pair of transport belts 2, and suckers 3 are arranged on this side of the heaters 4 and on the rears of the transport belts 2, one on each, so as to sandwich them. Further, in the zone of the transport belts 2 where the suckers 3 are arranged, an air suction outlet 61 and an inert gas inlet 71 in that order in the direction in which the transport belts 2 advance are provided so as to cover the edges of the transport belts. In the course of opening the bag, air in the packaging bag is sucked from the air suction outlet 61 by the suckers 3, and inert gas is injected into the packaging bag from the inert gas inlet 71 to be sealed in it. |
