PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording apparatus enabling high-grade ink jet recording without being limited by the kind of a medium to be recorded. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recording apparatus consists of a delay means 11 delaying a recording signal 51, a recording means 12 performing recording corresponding to the output signal of the delay means 11, a coating means 10 applying a coating material to a medium to be recorded before recording due to recordig ink is applied to a medium to be recorded corresponding to the recording signal 51 and a control means 9 controlling the number of times of coating or coarting order of the coating means 10. By this constitution, a coating area or the coating amt. of the coating material is determined corresponding to the recording signal and the undulation generated by the coating with the coating material is prevented to enhance quality. |
