PURPOSE: To enable discharging a fluid in a spray pattern of a suitable shallow bell shape and to enable reducing wear by arranging a pocket at a downstream of a deflection surface and a preorifice which is smaller in diameter than that of a swelling chamber at an upstream of a discharge orifice of a spray tip. CONSTITUTION: A spray nozzle device 11 is provided with a stem 12 communicating with supply fluid, the spray tip 20, the discharge orifice 31 and the deflection surface 32 as a directing apparatus for directing the supply fluid in a prescribed pattern. The longitudinal swelling chamber 30 is disposed at the spray tip 20 and a cross slot 34, which intersects the chamber 30 at a central position between the both ends thereof, is formed. Further the device has the discharge orifice 31 and the deflection surface 32 for directing the supply fluid discharged from the discharge orifice 31 in a direction vertical to an axial line of the chamber 30. Further the pocket 38 is disposed at the downstream of the deflection surface 32 and the preorifice 42 which is smaller in diameter than that of the swelling chamber 30 is disposed at the upstream of the discharge orifice 31 of the spray tip 20.
