PURPOSE:To obtain a means for easily forming an infrared radiation-detectable pattern that can be read by an infrared radiation reader but hardly visually recognized. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer recording medium, alternate areas of a thermal transfer coloring ink layer 3 absorbing a visible light and areas of a thermal transfer coloring ink layer 4 absorbing an infrared light are continuously formed on one surface of a substrate 1. In an information recording method using the thermal transfer recording medium, an arbitrary pattern is transferred to be formed on an infrared radiation-reflecting substrate 5. As the preferable form of the thermal transfer recording medium, the areas of the coloring ink layers of two types have the same hue. |
