PURPOSE:To regularly, rapidly flocculate a layer of one particle and to obtain a two-dimensional flocculation formation method with high accuracy and high efficiency by developing a dispersion liquid medium of fine particles on the surface of a substrate to form a liquid thin film and giving reduction control to the thickness of the film to two-dimensionally flocculate the fine particles. CONSTITUTION:When fine particles A, B dispersed in a dispersion liquid medium I are fed to a substrate III whose surface is flat and the thickness 'd' of the dispersion liquid medium I is controlled so as to be nearly equal to the particle diameter of the fine particles A, B, particularly to not more than the particle diameter, large suction force F is applied to the fine particles A, B to form crystal nuclei. It is theoretically estimated that lateral capillary force generated as the suction force F depends on liquid surface contact angles theta1-theta4 between the fine particles A, B and the dispersion liquid medium I, the thickness 'd' of the dispersion liquid medium I in the sufficient distance, the distance 'I' between the fine particles A, B and their radii gamma1, gamma2, the boundary tension between the dispersion liquid medium I and a medium I and the difference in density between the dispersion liquid medium I and the medium II. By the lateral capillary force, the crystal nuclei of the fine particles A, B are formed on the flat surface substrate III. |
