PURPOSE:To perform excellent detection of nipping phenomenon only through analysis of the drive state of a drive means by providing a detecting means to detect the drive state of a drive means and a detecting means to detect the state of a parameter which exercises an influence on the drive state of the drive means and deciding the occurrence of nipping phenomenon by adding parameter. CONSTITUTION:The rotation position of a motor 1 is detected by a sensor S2 and the rotation speed and rotation acceleration of the motor 1 are provided. A voltage fed to the motor 1 is detected by means of a sensor S3. It is decided by a control unit based on detected values from the sensors S2 and S3 and a correlation between the motor 1 and a voltage fed to the motor 1 whether nipping phenomenon by an opening/closing body opened and closed with the aid of the motor 1 occurs. This constitution performs high-precise detection of nipping phenomenon only through analysis of the drive state of the drive means to drive open and close the opening/closing body.
