Unit of the type for propelling motor vehicles, characterized essentially in that it comprises a main turbine with its shaft coupled by means of a clutch to the vehicle's gearbox, a pneumatic compressor associated with a starter motor supplied by accumulator batteries forming the equipment and with a compressed-air accumulator reservoir with an outlet conduit with regulator valve, a device for kinematic transmission from the shaft of a second pneumatic turbine propelling the compressor to the shaft of a second pneumatic turbine propelling the compressor and an alternator, and a disengagement (clutch throwout) device for the kinematic separation, at the appropriate time, of the starter motor with respect to the compressor. <IMAGE> |
