System characterized by the use, as light source, of one or more light-emitting diodes LEDs and by the fact that it is powered by electric accumulators or batteries. The light emitted may be of one or more colours, including white, using one or more light-emitting diodes. In the event of a number of them being used, it may or may not be necessary to have an adjustment system. Operation of the device may be continuous or intermittent without this damaging the light-emitting element. It may be of small size and is mechanically very strong.
