PURPOSE:To perform the retrieval processing at the client side and to reduce the load of the server side when the mail accordant with the retrieving conditions requested by the client side out of a mailbox file of the server side. CONSTITUTION:A retrieving key file 2 is provided at the client side, and the retrieving key items used by a retrieving item register means 6 are defined and registered in the file 2 and a mail box file 4 of the server side. A mail reception information transmitter means 8 stores the retrieving key information on the registered retrieving key items and a main retrieving key (mail ID) in the file 2 when the message information on received mails are stored in the file 4. When a transfer request is received from a terminal 5 for the mail to which the retrieving conditions are designated, a mail take-out request means 7 retrieves the file 2 and gives a request to the server side by the mail ID of the corresponding mail. At the server side, a message information transfer means 9 takes out the message information corresponding to the requested mail ID and transfers the information. |
