<p>PURPOSE:To obtain excellent fixing property and resistance to offset by using the styrene-acrylics resin having a carboxyl group at a side chain and specified acid value as a binding resin for toner and incorporating a spherical magnetic powder. CONSTITUTION:The toner uses the styrene-acrylics resin having the carboxyl group at the side chain and 2-30mgKOH/g acid value as the binding resin for toner, and is incorporated a substantially spherical magnetic powder. The styrene-acrylics resin is used as the binding resin. The example of styrenes monomer is o-methyl-styrene, etc., bisides styrene. The monomer constituting the carboxyl group part is the acrylic acid such as acrylic acid and methacrylic acid and its alpha- or beta-alkyl deriv. The binding resin is effective when 2-30 acid value and 4-11 is appropriate. When the acid value is low, fixing property is insufficient, and when the acid value is too high, sufficient electrostatic property can not be obtained.</p> |
