PURPOSE:To join in a musical performance even halfway in music or even if the music is not known well by reading automatic musical performance data matching the progression position of a part other than at least one part when a trigger is generated through player's operation. CONSTITUTION:The trigger generated by a trigger generator 1 is detected by a trigger I/F 2, whose detection signal is supplied to a CPU 3 through a data bus. Automatic musical performance data on the part other than at least one part are read out irrelevantly to the generation of the trigger and when no trigger is generated, the read position of at least one part moves according to the progression of the musical performance based upon the part other than one part. When the trigger is generated through the operation of the player, the automatic performance data on at least one part matching the progression position of the performance of the part other than at least one part among plural performance parts are read out and a musical sound is generated on the basis of the data. |
