PURPOSE:To produce the color filter with high productivity by releasably providing the surface of a base film with a layer of a transparent colored photosensitive resin colored by dispersing a pigment therein. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the base film 1 is provided with the transparent colored photosensitive resin 2 and a protective film 4 is laminated thereon (A). The protective film 4 is then peeled and the transparent colored photosensitive resin 2 is compression-bonded together with the base film under heating onto a substrate 5 (B, C). Further, the transparent colored photosensitive resin 2 is exposed via a photomask 6 and thereafter, the base film 1 is peeled and developed to form transparent colored image patterns 8 (D, E, F). The transparent colored image patterns varying in hue are formed by repeating the these stages. The transparent colored photosensitive resin 2 can be provided by a casting method onto the base film 1 and can be continuously executed. The stage for directly applying the photosensitive resin onto the substrate 5 is eliminated according to this method. |
