PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of sporadically forming an image on a paper sheet having the same size and a difference only in direction when the selection of the paper by a document feeder is used. CONSTITUTION:In this image forming device 2, when the paper is selected based on the size and direction of the document through a size sensor 38 incorporated in the document feeder 10 and a document fed onto a document platen 6 is changed to the document different in the direction from that of the document fed up to then, a document feeder opening/closing state detecting sensor 60 detects the document feeder 10 is opened/closed and a size sensor 85b in a device main body 4 detects the direction and size of the newly placed document, so that the paper corresponding to the newly placed document is temporalily selected. And when a next fed document has the same condition as that of the previously fed document, the previously selected paper is selected. |
