PURPOSE:To provide the character display system which is improved to display characters with satisfactory resolution at a satisfactory display speed even by small scale equipment. CONSTITUTION:A frame 40b of size corresponding to a displayed character is used at the periphery of the character and the position and size of the character are represented with the position and size of the frame 40b. Namely, the inside of the frame 40b is inverted to indicate an inverted character and the frame 40b is made into a parallelogram to indicates an italic character; and the lower side of the frame 40b is double-lined to indicate an underscored character and the frame 40b is made thick to indicate a bold character. |
