PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness between a grid body and a paste by sticking carbon black on the surface of the grid body made of lead or lead alloy containing no antimony. CONSTITUTION:A grid body made of lead or lead alloy containing no antimony is used for a paste type lead-acid battery. Carbon black is stuck on the surface of the grid body, then a paste is applied. The specific surface area of the carbon black used for it is preferably set to 500m<2>/g or above. The corrosion of the surface of the grid body can be accelerated, the adhesiveness between the grid body and the past can be improved, and the life performance can be improved. |
