TREATING METHOD FOR MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE SUSPENDED WASTE WATER

PURPOSE:To efficiently treat waste water without corroding an apparatus and attaching scale by contacting the waste water to combustion exhaust gas from which sulfur oxides are removed beforehand. CONSTITUTION:Combustion exhaust gas contg. sulfur oxides and carbon dioxide is blown into pretreating vessel 4 and reacted with CO2-treated waste water introduced from treating vessel 7 to remove the sulfur oxides. The exhaust gas thus pretreated is blown into treating liquid 9 as bubbles from blowing pipe 8 of vessel 7. Waste water from vessel 4 and pipe 11 is introduced into vessel 7, and magnesium hydroxide suspended waste water, e.g. from sea water magnesia production is supplied from pipe 11. The treated waste water is drained from pipe 12, and the exhaust gas is captured and exhausted into the air with blower 13. By this mechanism the apparatus is continuously operated over a long term without a trouble.
