INSPECTION EQUIPMENT OF FOREIGN MATTER IN LIQUID

PURPOSE:To make it possible to accurateby detect only foreign matter floating in a liquid while discriminating from those adhered to the surface of a container by picking up the image at one position in the rotational direction of a container injected with a liquid several times perspectively and then comparing the image signals each other. CONSTITUTION:Containers 10 to which a liquid has been injected are secured on a holder 32 and transferred from a conveyor 27 onto a container rotating table 24 where the containers 10 are lifted to a predetermined height by means of a holder rotating shaft 25 and then the containers 10 are rotary shifted to the table 24 while revolving at least two turns. A CCD camera 23 secured 22 to a camera rotating table 21 is then rotated at the same angular speed as the table 24 and the image of the container 10 is picked up from a direction normal to the track of the container 10 every time when the container 10 revolves (two times). A foreign matter adhered to the outer surface of the container 10 appears at the same positions on both images because the foreign matter is fixed but the relative positions of a foreign matter floating in the liquid are shifted between both images because of revolution of the container 10. Since internal and external foreign matters can be discriminated from each other, only floating foreign matter can be detected accurately.
