PURPOSE:To provide the local memory type parallel processor for volume rendering due to a ray casting method so as to enable efficient visualyzing by using normal memory capacity and communication means. CONSTITUTION:A numerical data distributing means 1-2 reads three-dimensional numerical data from a numerical data storage means 1-1 and distributedly stores them in respective local memories 1-12 and 1-22. Glance trace means 1-13 and 1-23 trace a glance and calculate a sampling point and rendering means 1-14 and 1-24 perform addition processing by calculating a color or the degree of transparency at the sampling point due to the trace. When the trace enters another processor area, a glance information transfer means 103 transfers the glance information and takes a move procedure. |
