PURPOSE:To enable a user to select a required mode and to improve availability by providing a means for selecting one of the area modes in an area where a line connection area is superimposed on a public service area. CONSTITUTION:When a calling operation is executed inside the line connection area 10 through the use of the portable machine 1 of a digital cordless telephone system, it becomes a call through the use of a personal base station 11 connected to a subscriber's line 12 and it becomes the call through the use of a public base station 21 connected to an exclusive line 22 at the time of the calling operation inside the public service area 20. When the calling operation is executed inside the superimposing area 30, it becomes the call by the mode selected by the mode change-over switch 6 of the portable machine 1 so that the corresponding base station 11 or 12 is used. |
