PURPOSE:To decide the service life of an ion sensor, especially the deterioration of sensor performance for a sample derived from a dialysis patient, by employing an aqueous solution principally comprising a fatty acid and/or a salt thereof and albumin. CONSTITUTION:A liquid used for decision is prepared using an aqueous solution containing 0.01-10wt.% of a fatty acid and/or a salt thereof, and 0.1-10wt.% of albumin. An aliphatic monocarboxyl acid of 8-30C is preferably employed in view point of solubility into water and accuracy in decision. Since the fatty acid has a low solubility in the form of carboxyl acid, it is employed in the form of alkali metal salt or employed together with a salt. Albumin is required for settling the fatty acid or salt in the aqueous solution and keeping the state similar to blood. Service life of ion sensor is decided according to the difference of sensor output before and after the sensor is immersed into an ion aqueous solution having known concentration. |
