<p>PURPOSE:To enhance tracking performance of a three-dimensional radar system by updating the wake data without sacrifice of wake quality of tracking target. CONSTITUTION:An antenna system 1 comprises a phased array antenna 11 and a transmitting section 12 and searches and tracks a target in a searching beam scan mode and a tracking beam scan mode. A target detecting/angle measuring section 21 in a signal processor 2 detects a target and calculates positional information thereof. Wake position is fed to a tracking beam shape selecting section 23 while being updated at a wake position updating section 22 and the number of transmission under the tracking beam scan mode is determined. The beam scan scheduling section 31 in a beam controller 3 determines the number of transmission of tracking beam depending on the number of targets and the quality of wake and a beam scanning orientation/elevation angle calculating section 32 determines a predictive position of tracking beam.</p> |
