<p>The fine plaster compound described and claimed contains no curing mineral constituents and is composed of a pigment, i.e. plaster body, short fibres, a film-forming organic binder and water; further constituents which may be present are thickeners, anti-foaming agents, biocides, inorganic salts, etc. The fine plaster compound does not cure hydraulically, but dries to give a solid, elastic mass. The fine plaster compound is intended, in particular, for application to a base plaster of ceilings of buildings, but can be sprayed onto or otherwise applied to any smooth, dry, not necessarily absorptive substrate, i.e., for example, on building slabs, wood fibre board, metals, etc. The production of the fine plaster compound, which has a virtually unlimited storage life, is best carried out in a stirred reactor using a high-speed turbomixer.</p> |
